A note on world precipitation during the last glaciation

R. W. Galloway

Abstract. 72% of the present total world precipitation falls between the parallels of 40° N and 40° S. On the assumption that during the last glaciation evaporation, and therefore precipitation, was 20% less than now, it is shown that a pluvial period in middle and low latitudes could not have occurred at that time.
